As the Payments Project Specialist focused on commercial growth and strategic project management, you will be instrumental in expanding and optimising the global payment solutions portfolio. This role is ideal for an experienced payments professional skilled in managing payment service providers, driving key commercial projects, and ensuring compliance requirements are met. You will oversee strategic partnerships, manage the payment processing infrastructure, and continuously enhance commercial performance through data-driven insights and operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Provider Management and Compliance: Maintain strong relationships with existing payment providers to ensure service levels and contractual obligations are consistently met. Conduct regular performance reviews and manage any necessary changes to service agreements.
- MID Management: Oversee Merchant Identification Number (MID) management, ensuring compliance and alignment with business needs and compliance requirements.
- Strategic Project Leadership: Lead and manage payment projects focused on expanding the company’s payment network, supporting entry into new markets with customized payment solutions.
- Onboarding and Implementation: Oversee the onboarding process for new payment providers, managing all phases from compliance verification to technical implementation to ensure seamless integration.
- Compliance Reviews: Regularly assess the compliance of payment operations with industry standards and regulatory requirements, collaborating with compliance teams to address any necessary updates.
- Performance Analysis and Optimization: Work with BI and Finance teams to analyze payment performance data, identifying trends, and leveraging insights to drive commercial and operational improvements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Development and Product Teams to define requirements for new features, manage technical milestones, and ensure the timely delivery of projects.
- Market Expansion Strategy: Develop strategies for launching payment capabilities in new markets, identifying innovative providers and solutions that broaden reach and enhance user experience.
- Treasury and Finance Support: Coordinate with Treasury and Finance to manage banking needs, funding requirements, and currency arrangements for effective global operations.
Key Skills
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to lead complex commercial projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely and within-scope delivery.
- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with compliance standards in the payments industry, with experience in managing provider compliance reviews and contract obligations.
- Analytical Insight: Skilled in interpreting performance data and making data-driven decisions that enhance payment performance and operational efficiencies.
- Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Proven ability to build productive relationships with payment providers and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present project updates and commercial insights to leadership.
Preferred Background
- Experience managing payments projects and provider relationships across multiple markets, including the US, Asia Pacific, and South America.
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills, with the ability to balance project timelines, compliance requirements, and commercial priorities.
- Demonstrated success in managing high-impact projects and coordinating between commercial and technical requirements.
- Previous experience working within the iGaming industry is essential.
