About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Business Development Executive to support the growth of two businesses within our group: Bullfinch, a leading recruitment and talent solutions provider, and Lemon Platypus, an innovative HR systems consultancy. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across two industries, driving business growth through strategic client engagement, event management, and marketing collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Acquisition and Relationship Building:

    • Identify, research, and target potential clients across recruitment and HR consultancy sectors.

    • Initiate outreach and develop relationships with prospective clients, fostering trust and engagement.

    • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of business opportunities.

  • Event Management:

    • Plan, organize, and execute events, such as networking sessions, workshops, and client presentations, to promote Bullfinch and Lemon Platypus.

    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless event delivery.

  • Marketing Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the marketing team to design and execute targeted campaigns, aligning with business objectives.

    • Provide insights on client needs and market trends to shape effective marketing strategies.

  • Business Growth Initiatives:

    • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations that align with company goals.

    • Monitor industry trends to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.

  • Reporting and Analysis:

    • Track and report on business development activities and outcomes.

    • Use data insights to refine strategies and improve effectiveness.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles.

  • Strong organizational skills, with a knack for event planning and management.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams, particularly with marketing and operational functions.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track and interpret performance data.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.
